EP Education Grants
Editorial Photographers is pleased to announce the first EP Education Grant.
In keeping with Editorial Photographers’ commitment to education we have created a grant of cash and equipment to assist photography students.
Prizes
There are no second or third prizes, only first prizes.
A cash prize of $1000.00 courtesy of EP and Blinkbid, will be awarded to each of five outstanding full time students. In addition, winners will receive the following items courtesy of several industry sponsors:

Eligible contestants must be enrolled in an accredited full time college photography program in the U.S. or Canada during the 2007-2008 year.
Winners will be chosen based on a portfolio submitted on-line. The material may be of any subject, a collection of individual photographs or an on-going project. The work must be their own and should show originality and creativity. The panel of contest judges will be announced shortly.
Winning entries will be shown on the EP website.
All students who enter the grant contest must submit their own work and warrant that the work submitted does not infringe any copyright, defame or invade the privacy of any individual or entity. Each contestant, as copyright holder retains all rights to the work, and gives permission to Editorial Photographer to reproduce the work for the purpose of promoting the EP Education Grant.
Faculty members of full-time photo programs are invited to encourage promising, eligible students in their schools who they believe will qualify for this grant program.
How to submit your work
- There is no contest fee, but each eligible student may enter only once
- Utilizing any web site of your choice such as Flickr, or Picasa, (or your own server, if you have one) create a web gallery containing 10–15 photographs
- Your web design is not being judged, only the photographs. Web design and layout will not be considered by the contest jury (Hint: Make it simple and easy to navigate)
- Include your name and contact information on the web page
- Send us a link only to your gallery at epedu@editorialphoto.com
- Include your school name and documentation of current school enrollment
- Any submission that does link directly to a contest gallery will be disqualified
- All work must be posted by May 19, 2008
The final selection will be made and announced on May 16, 2008 on the Editorial Photographers website - www.editorialphoto.com
